Painting Alchemy in Seattle
Happy March! I’m eagerly awaiting Spring’s warmth and color, and transitioning from comfort food and tea to smoothies and, more tea.
I’m working on a new painting series for a show at ZB Gallery in April. The theme is spring and I’m enjoying delving into the seasonal symbolism and mythologies. Hummingbirds, March hares and many spring flowers will feature in these works.
This last weekend I took part in The Alchemy of Oil painting, a three day workshop taught by David Heskin and Aloria Weaver. The workshop was hosted at Seattle’s gorgeous Praxis Arts in the Georgetown neighborhood. David and Aloria are true inspirations. I learned so much and met a group of wonderful, dedicated people. Weekends like this one change your life and I’m so thankful. I’m ready to jump back into the studio with new knowledge and ideas.
